To Be Or Not To Be: The Road to Success
Who is one of the best football players in the world at this very moment in time? Who is the global football icon that most people are able to associate with? If you are in the loop, your answer would be Cristiano Ronaldo. 
Cristiano Ronaldo, born 1985, is a Portuguese football superstar who was first introduced to the 'beautiful game' at the tender age of 10 and it was noted that even at that age, he was already a phenomenon. He was born to play football. In 2001, he made his professional debut for Sporting Lisbon, one of the top teams in the Portuguese Football League. It was there that he started turning heads at all over the world with his mesmerizing footwork and explosive dribbling. At just 18 years of age, he attracted the attention of footballing giants Manchester United who saw enough and parted with 12million pounds in 2003 for this services, a world record for his age at the time.
It was at Manchester United under the tutelage of Sir Alex Ferguson that Ronaldo truly blossomed as a player, transforming from a scrawny teenager to the physical specimen that he is today. In his time with Manchester United, he helped the team to 3 Premier League titles, an FA Cup, 2 Carling Cups, a Community Shield, a Club World Cup and the highly sought after UEFA Champions League. He also gathered many personal accolades including the Ballon d'Or which is an award that recognised the world's best player for the year.
In 2009, he transferred to Real Madrid for a world record fee of 80million pounds and has been there since winning many titles and even more accolades including a second Ballon d'Or award.

On the flip side, we have another player deemed to have a bright future and was rated even better than Ronaldo at the same age. His name, was Ricardo Quaresma.
Quaresma, born 1983, 2 years older than Ronaldo was and also a Portuguese wonder kid that was developed through the same prestigious footballing academy as Ronaldo at Sporting Lisbon. He too was a dazzling winger and was said to be Portugal's beacon of hope in world football. In the summer of 2003, Ronaldo was shipped to Manchester United and Quaresma was sold to Barcelona FC, another top footballing club. While Ronaldo ascended to god-like levels under the supervision of Sir Alex Ferguson, Quaresma's career took a downward spiral as inconsistent performances and a poor attitude led to limited first team opportunities and a falling out with then Barcelona coach Frank Rjikaard. Quaresma even so far as to say that he would never play for Barcelona while Rjikaard was the manager which many thought as very arrogant behaviour.
Quaresma's career was littered with chaos and fallouts, at one point even being accused of urinating on a kit- man at his club and flashing a female member of the staff, and he has moved to many clubs wishing to test their luck on resurrecting his genius and his career. All have failed, with the exception of Porto between 2004-2008 where he performed at a better rate while being coddled by the manager Jesualdo Ferreira. In the year 2008, when his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo was being awarded the Ballon d'Or for his outstanding performances that season, Quaresma was awarded the Bidone D'oro, known as 'The Golden Trash Can', an award that is given to the worst new arrival of the season in the notorious Italian League, the Serie A.

Two wonder kids, both from the same academy,both deemed to be the future of Portuguese football, but both with very contrasting outcomes in their career. What happened to Ricardo Quaresma? Why was he unable to emulate the achievements of Ronaldo? It is obvious the physically both are regarded as naturally talented so to answer these questions, one must delve into the psychology behind the players.
What separates the flops from the stars? One of the key psychological factors that coaches believe to be important in the development of players in mental toughness, however, only a small minority of athletes are actually able to develop the mental toughness to be great players. Mental toughness is said to be the key difference between athletes that get to that top level of their games, and the ones that actually maintain that level of performance and stay there. It is something that highlights the ability of players to perform on the big stage and their ability to work through transitional periods without suffering to their own performance. It has been suggested that a mentally tough athlete is one that is has a high sense of self belief and an unwavering faith in themselves and their abilities understand and comprehend mental toughness, you have to visualise and break it down into the 4 Cs; Control, Commitment, Challenge and most importantly, Confidence. These are the 4 Cs of Mental Toughness and form the basis of the theory.
Control is the desire of an athlete to be the masters of their own fate, the captains of their destiny. It is the desire to be in complete control of their experience rather than feel helpless and powerless in their situation. It is simply the tendency to feel influential.
Every top athlete understands that they need to be committed to the game and their respective clubs. However, true commitment is one where a player proactively involves himself in the experience as opposed to just accepting or withdrawing from the situation. It is not enough to just go along with the ride, one must actually have the desire to do it themselves.
Without adversity and hurdles, you will never learn from your mistakes and better yourself. Challenge is the acknowledgement of the tough times that you may face and embracing it to help the stimulation of personal development rather than settling into a routine and tapering off.
This is defined as a high sense of self belief and the unwavering faith in one's abilities on the road to success. Although all Cs are equally as important, confidence is ultimately what separates a mentally tough athlete and one that just has hardiness to their character.

Big Mouth Waterfowl Calls
Two more days left until me and the crew leave for North Dakota, to slaughter the ducks and geese. We went up two weeks ago and scouted some good areas that we think will have good hunting. We got permission from a couple farmers that have some pretty good land. Ill keep you guys updated on how we do as the week goes on.

Well everyone the day is here, the day that me and the team are headed out to North Dakota to slay some huge northern mallards and Canadian geese. We got the trailer loaded and full of decoys and the dogs in the back ready to work. Tune in tomorrow morning find out how we did, wish us luck.
Motion Duck Decoys 
For years hunters have been trying to find the one trick that guarantees ducks and other waterfowl to drop there feet and head straight into the decoys. Well they have found the money maker that does such, motion decoys. Movement catches the eye of  almost anything. But when it comes to waterfowl hunting, there is two types of motion, Attraction motion, and Simple motion. Attraction motion is used to get the attention of distant birds, and simple motion is what tricks them into thinking the decoys that are set out are alive. When it comes to duck hunting, the Mojo duck decoy is the gold mine for motion decoys. The flash they make which mimics the flapping of wings right before they land, attracts birds at far distance and gives them something to look at.  
Layout Blinds
When it comes to field hunting for ducks and geese, one of the major items you need is a layout blind. Layout blinds come in many different styles, some are designed for ease of mobility, while others feature a low-profile look for wary birds and a lack of field cover. Some concentrate on comfort. It depends on what style you want but there all generally going to do the same thing. My personal favorite layout blind is the Banded Cross Cut Layout blind. Their new Cross Cut Blind features a super-tough square tube frame, but conceals well with the elongated skirting on each side, all of which features concealment straps. The blind also features a zippered flag door, as well as a zippered boot bag for easy cleaning at the end of the hunt. It retails for $299.99. At the end of the day it's a little more money, but it's worth every bit of it.  
Well the trip to North Dakota wasn't as good as we intended it to be. I mean we shot our limit of birds for the trip, but we really had to work for them. The way the weather was, it was way to warm for the birds to have migrated south yet from Canada. So we were mainly still shooting the local birds instead of the big northern birds. So I think in the next couple weeks if the weather gets a little colder, me and the crew will head to North Dakota again and try to slay some mallards!!!!

For this waterfowl season I choose the Remington Versa Max as my weapon of choice. My whole life i have only shot Benelli shotguns, but once i heard about the Versa Max i had to get it. Whats unique about the Versa Max is that it has the Versaport gas system which regulates cycling pressure based on shell length. Having that gas system reduces recoil to that of a 20-gauge. The best feature is the Self-cleaning that takes place inside the gun. Remington did a test by continuously shooting thousands of rounds without cleaning the gun, and the Versa Max never jammed up nor work incorrectly. If you haven't gone out and shot the Versa Max, you better do so.

Surrogacy in Aus needs conversation, not just legislation

In all jurisdictions of Australia, altruistic surrogacy has been the only recently recognized surrogacy that has become legal. However, in all states and the Australian Capital Territory arranging commercial surrogacy is a criminal offense, although the Northern Territory has no legislation governing surrogacy at all and there are no plans to introduce laws on surrogacy into the NT Legislative Assembly in the near future. Moreover New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory have made it an offense for residents to enter into international commercial surrogacy arrangements with potential penalties extending to imprisonment for up to two years.
Crucial recent events have taken its toll on our country and its reputation and shown why such laws need to be relaxed in our country. This of course is the case of baby Gammy. The sad case of Thai-born Gammy, the critically ill baby boy with Down syndrome, seemingly and evidently abandoned by the Australian parents who paid an unusable Bangkok reproductive clinic to have him, has turned a spotlight on the delicate commercial surrogacy market. David Farnell and his family were sucked into the international spotlight after Thai surrogate mother Pattaramon Chanbua accused him and his wife Wendy Li of abandoning “their” baby son, Gammy, in Thailand. 
Ms Chanuba said Gammy, who has Down syndrome, was left behind but Mr Farnell and Ms. Li brought his healthy twin sister back to Western Australia. On an a probing one-hour discussion with 60 minutes with David & Lisa Farnell, Tara Browns sparked an international media frenzy with being sparked with 11,000 tweets while the program had aired. Brown had really stepped on the toes of the Farnell’s with confronting questions, and ‘shaming’ words. It was powerful, compelling television. Of course, it is these unashamedly emotive moments that give rise to accusations of ‘‘tabloid’’ journalism. But there’s a difference between emotion and sensationalism. There is nothing wrong with fair, focused journalism packing an emotional punch. It helps people care and want to be educated about these crisis’s in our world. It draws attention to broader issues; in this case, 
the ethical and legal issues surrounding international surrogacy.But while events in Thailand capture the news, the reality is, that if Australia does not reform existing barriers, costs and bans on surrogacy, then desperate Australians, mainly young couples, will eventually are forced to 
consider dodgy and delicate international surrogacy.
So why cant Australia help this situation out and start to relax the laws of surrogacy? It really beats me. If we can start to help these desperate couples who are fighting for a chance of parenthood, we could save the a lot of money and disappointment. 
Surrogacy Australia spokesman Sam Everingham stated that “around ten per cent of families get burnt by their foreign surrogacy experience and can face massive medical costs and end up without a child”. The aim of legalizing commercial surrogacy is not to induce women to do something they would not otherwise consider by offering a get-rich-quick plan or career path. A carefully designed system as a gentle nudge for a woman already ready to help out would be recommended. Is the idea confronting, scary, distressing? Yes, it is all that. But with quickly evolving reproductive technologies and research, we are already finding the confusing results of sperm donors, egg donors, embryo transfers and the like. I think we are ready enough to try this. Or we can continue with business as usual: keep dumping our social problems in poorer countries as we wait for something new to happen.  


Surrogacy is a pre-planned arrangement, often by individuals and couples who yearn to become parents and an involved different genetic contributions from the commissioning parents. The constant reminders of the difficulty of having a baby demands incredible personal discipline to not be overcome by disappointment and frustrations. It also demands the ability to not give up and remain positive, despite the reality that the longer it takes the less chance of achieving the birth of a baby. These are the human significances. 
The emotional aspects are bad enough but the policy issues around surrogacy are a nightmare in themselves. This is why Australia need to take this issue seriously and start acting on it.

İnternet radyoculuğu, elektronik yayıncılığın yarattığı değişimin en iyi örneklerinden biri olarak düşünülebilir. Normal koşullarda bir radyo frekansı üzerinden yayın yapılabilmesi ve bu yayının geniş coğrafyalara ulaştırılabilmesi yatırım ve organizasyon gerektiren masraflı ve zahmeli bir süreçtir. Amatör olarak daha düşük masraflarla bir radyo yayını gerçekleştilebilir ancak bu durumda da yayın sınırlı bir coğrafyada çok az kişi tarafından dinlenebilir olacaktır. Aynı zamanda amatör radyoculuk için de azımsanmayacak bir bilgi birikimine ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır.
İnternet radyoculuğu radyo yayıncılığıyla ilgili çok temel değişimler yaşanmasına vesile olmuştur. Karasal yayın yapan radyoların internet üzerinden de dinlenebilir hale gelmesinin ötesinde internet radyolarının sayısı hızlı bir şekilde artmaya başlamış ve amatör olarak yayın yapma süreci oldukça basit hale gelmiştir. Ortalama bir internet kullanıcısının amatör olarak radyo yayını yapabilmesi için neredeyse hiçbir teknik altyapıya ve ön bilgiye ihtiyaç duyulmamaktadır. Örneğin aşağıda da örneğini gördüğünüz radyonun yayın aşamasına gelmesi için sadece 15 dakikalık bir çaba harcanmıştır.
Elbette radyo yayıncılığı teknik altyapının ötesinde bambaşka bir bilgi birikimi, beceri, altyapı ve çaba gerekmektedir ve kolay değildir. Ancak günümüzde teknolojinin sağladığı kolaylıklar sayesinde radyoculuk için hızlı bir başlangıç yapmak mümkündür. Bu başlangıçtan sonra sürekli ve kaliteli bir yayıncılık için çok daha fazlası gerekmektedir. Elektronik yayıncılık ve bu örneğin özelinde internet radyoculuğu daha fazlasını yapmak isteyenler için önemli fırsatlar sunmaktadır. Elektronik yayıncılığın temelinde, yayın ve yayıncılık vardır. Yayıncılık, bir yayının oluşturulması ve hedef kitleye ulaştırılması süreçlerini ifade eder. Bir kitap bir yayın örneği olarak ele alınacak olursa, kitabın yazılması, metnin gözden geçirilmesi, dizgisinin yapılması, basıma hazırlanması, basılması, dağıtımının yapılması, en nihayetinde bir kitap mağazasının rafındaki yerini alması ve buna benzer süreçlerin tamamı yayıncılık olarak ifade edilebilir. Elektronik yayıncılık ise bahsedilen bu süreçlerin elektronik ortamda, bilgisayar teknolojilerinin sağladığı avantajlarla birlikte gerçekleşmesidir.  
Yayın, bir içerik parçasıdır ve farklı formatlarda oluşturulup paylaşılabilir. Kitap, dergi, gazete, radyo, televizyon vb. Teknik olarak herhangi bir formattaki herhangi bir içerik parçası yayın olarak kabul edilmekle birlikte ilgili içeriğin yayın olarak genel kabul görmesi ve hedef kitlesi tarafından takip edilmesi için bazı niteliklere sahip olması beklenir. Yayının amacına bağlı olarak bu nitelikler de değişebilir. Her yayın türünün amacı doğrultusunda farklı özelliklere sahip olaması gerekebilir. Ancak yayın, hedef kitle tarafından kabul görüyorsa niteliği ve sahip olduğu özellikler ikinci planda kalacaktır.

Elektornik yayıncılık, yayıncılığın daha kolay olması ve daha fazla kişi tarafından yapılabilir hale gelmesini sağlamaktadır. Nitelikli içerik oluşturan herkes basit araçlar aracılığıyla bu içeriği yayına dönüştürebilir ve diğer insanlarla paylaşabilir. Örneğin şu an bu içeriği bi blog üzerinden okuyorsunuz ve bu yayın internet bağlantısı olan herkes tarafndan ulaşılabilir. İhtiyaç doğrultusunda bu içeriğe ait bir video oluşturulabilir ya da bu içeriğin sunumu pdf formatında herhangi bir web ortamında paylaşılabilir.
